How to run Claude Code with Kimi

Kimi (Moonshot AI) is known for very long context — the K2 series handles 200K+ tokens, ideal for large-codebase and long-document work. Kimi provides an Anthropic-compatible endpoint and works with Claude Code out of the box.

FAQ

Why can't I use Kimi with Codex?
Codex CLI now requires the OpenAI Responses API; Kimi doesn't offer that endpoint yet. Claude Code with Kimi is unaffected.
